As Chaela put it, he tells a good story. We saw the early show. He was trying out new material, for sure, but he connected with the audience, and we fed off each other; I felt like he was talking to me, and I know everyone else felt that, too. It was magical.

Jordan Klepper, McDonald Theater | Saturday, August 30th. Eugene, Oregon

I’ve followed Jordan Klepper since he first started attending MAGA events; it was a pleasure to see him in person. He brought a slide show and talked about the MAGA people he’s encountered. It was a little disconcerting to hear about J6’ers who were arrested, convicted, given lenghty sentences, and have now been pardoned for their repugnant (and illegal) actions. wtf, america?

Jordan talked about how he got into politics, which started with a visit to (near?) his hometown by vice-presidental candidate George H Bush, and he talked about how Bill Clinton was inspired to become president after meeting JFK. It got me thinking: would meeting Jordan Klepper change my personal trajectory? I’m pretty sure I’m too old for that now…..
